It is a mystery for many people how eating foods can cause health problems. If a person has food allergies or sensitivities, their immune system is overactive and sees offending foods as foreign invaders. Each time the sensitive food is eaten a reaction to the food occurs in the body.

When the food is eaten, digested and absorbed, the circulation can take the byproducts anywhere in the body. That is why the symptoms of food allergies can be so varied. Wherever the vulnerable tissues are in the body is where the symptoms will appear. Skin scratch tests have been used for years, but they only test for immediate reactions. These would show up within two hours of eating an allergic food. Unfortunately, many food sensitivities are delayed and may take several hours and even up to two days to appear. Skin scratch testing cannot identify these types of food sensitivities.

Vega Testing
